Guangming Lake will be transformed into Shenzhen's largest lake-based recreational destination, serving as the westernmost intersection of the Blueway network. It will link surrounding landscapes, industries, and urban areas.
As a drinking water reservoir, Guangming Lake, together with the dam and the mountain, provides an unique perspective of overlooking the Science City, a perspective of feeling the past and looking into the future. The uniqueness of Guangming Lake lies in its unique perspective. Taking water as a clue and combining with natural setting of the site, Guangming Lake is divided into three water-themed zones. The three zones combine nature, humanities, hydraulic facilities and special activities to create Sixteen distinctive "classrooms".
